Making the Case for Patient Population Severity Reporting - Part 1

The typical approach to optimizing the severity data of our patient populations has been largely on the shoulders of CDI and HIM initiatives. While the scope of CDI roles has evolved slightly, the approach has essentially stayed the same. The severity reporting optimization model should include providers as partners in the process and go beyond the traditional approach. Unfortunately, the analytical methodologies that are widely used in the industry limit us to rely solely on CDI and HIM.

In this session, we will discuss why this is true and make the case for patient population analytics to sustainably achieve accurate severity reporting data.
