Physician Scorecards and Severity Reporting

Over the years, physician scorecards have increased in popularity. This comes as no surprise since there are several different initiatives, metrics, and incentives that physicians are involved with. Utilizing physician scorecards makes a lot of sense since transparency is an important factor in changing behavior and tracking performance at the physician level can promote engagement under the right circumstances. When it comes to physician scorecards and severity reporting, there are some universal practices that will help build trust and credibility, as well as certain considerations that are specific to the severity reporting initiative.
