Since its inception, CDI 1.0 has been riddled with different types of technologies, consulting approaches, and even different ways to assess opportunities. Yet fundamentally, little has changed. Organizations still rely predominantly on the query process to optimize severity reporting, and the unit of analysis remains to be the actual medical record (manual or tech-enabled).
Typically, the saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' would be relevant. However, the reality is that many organizations are unknowingly capping their potential in severity reporting by clinging to an outdated model that no longer yields significant returns. They mistakenly believe they've reached peak efficiency.
In this session, we highlight the signs and symptoms of CDI 1.0 and then show you how the 2.0 approach overcomes those limitations.
